Which do you personally prefer and why, even if you don't consider yourself a 'reader'

I do not read a lot, but I have read more this year than the previous years (~5 books), and so far I consider myself to have no particular preference in terms of physical or ebook on phone because I thin the pros and cons of both even out. I have been considering an ereader, mainly to save space and because I have heard that having dedicated devices can be better for focus than, for example, one device that does everything because it can distract you more. Also e-ink is apparently good for your eyes.

Usually, I just read fanfics XD

But for actual books, then I most likely would prefer a physical book over anything digital! I find myself able to focus more on just reading without the distractions on my devices, and besides, the bright lights start to hurt my eyes if I read something for too long online.

Someone somewhere on the web.

It depends on the context (e.g. I listen to a lot of Star Wars books on audiobook, they have such great narrators)! If I can get a hard copy from a library/half-price books, I will; otherwise, my default is an eReader. eReaders are great for travel, but there's something about the tactile feel of paper that adds to the experience.

If there's a fantastic cast reading (e.g., The Chronicles of Narnia- I can't remember the exact release), I'll try it out! This is definitely anecdotal, but Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, I saw the movie, read the book, watched the movie again, and then listened to the audiobook. Very different experiences each time (the ending is fairly different from the film).

I like code, sound, and minimalism. https://kyleobrien.me
