Hello everyone! I know this has ben done a lot of times before but I like to have something more to post on.

On status.cafe I often see the statuses about music 🎶. I am interested in what you all are listening to so you can post it here 😊

Anything is welcome and if you can link to it so I can listen is very much appreciated. You can post your opinion about the song as well if you like.

So I will be the first:

Asturias – Highland

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-D4KSPoTBM

I like this band

I am great

Oh hell yeah! This track is pretty sick. :D I was into some Japanese prog rock a year ago lol. (mostly YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe.) I don't know why, but it reminds me of a slower version of this song by King Crimson which I'm kind of obsessed with.

It's been a lot of Chet Baker for me. I'm not an expert on him or anything, but I'm particularly I'm interested in his later records. I reflect on how such a tortured, callous, disturbed man could make such heavenly music. ☯ My life's been super stressful and complicated the past few months, I feel like I'm at my highest and my lowest at the same time, so Chet's music kind of fits with that mood.

I have a few links cuz at this point in my life I can never choose just one of anything LOL :P

Thanks Zeeslag for making me discover Asturias. I'm amazed to see that the band has been created roughly the same year as I was born... Love the style. Great to listen and work at the same time.

> I was into some Japanese prog rock a year ago lol. (mostly YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe.)

I didn't know about that genre! I just listened to YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe and I like the vibe a lot. Makes me want to be in a bar with friends during spring when the sun sets. Haha.

So many great songs, dii! I didn't know Chet Baker either. The sax part in "There Will Never Be Another You" is definitely incredible. I like how it seems like they are having a conversation. The lyrics are strong yet the song is easy to listen to. Almost makes me want to add a jukebox to this place. ;)

I don't listen to that much music these days. Or when I do, it's mostly the same things over and over. One that I love is the Tron Legacy OST from Daft Punk. It never fails to help me focus.

That Asturias track is awesome.

When I'm chilling I like to listen to psychedelic rock bands like Pond and King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard

When I need to focus I listen to anime soundtracks and Japanese rock bands

right now, i'm listening to Hitsville U.K., by the Clash. here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFGKm_bJ5Uw&ab_channel=theclashVEVO i really like this song, one of my favourite songs. not one of my favourites from the clash, but one of my favourites. my favourite songs from them are probably Complete Control, Spanish Bombs, or The Magnificent Seven.

though, lately, i've been listening to GNR's Os Homens Não Se Querem Bonitos. specifically Sonora and Made in Oporto. here are the links https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfqbY7I3sYU&ab_channel=GNR-Topic and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-rECa-z2AU&ab_channel=GNR-Topic

I've been rediscovering Beach House for myself.

The music has this ethereal quality, a very smooth, calming sound; everything I've heard so far had been stunning, but Another Go Around is my current earworm in particular

My current obsession is an artist I stumbled across on instagram named Taylor Acorn. She has a song called Coma that gives me MAJOR Paramore, Avril Lavigne, and P!nk vibes all rolled into one. The filter on the music video looks like every rock music video from the early 2000s ever. I'm obsessed.

been listening to brodequin this week, who apparently have a new record coming out soon for the first time in twenty years. they kinda sound like a lot of deathgrind bands, but that's fine with me.

the cover is what piqued my curiosity. it did not disappoint in the slightest. i rarely rate an album 5 stars immediately after listening but this one is the exception. i usually let an album sit with me for about a week or two before i bump it up to 5 stars. it irks me how obscure this record is and i wish more people knew about it.

Discovered Halley Labs after a Friend brought it up in a Video Player world on VRC, HalcyonDaze is good but the first half of More Adventures goes FUCKING HARD.

>> More Adventures Album

https://youtu.be/EidiVnclSL4?si=gadJJdHvfiVhxFKH

The fucking cold open sounds amazing with the fake out fade out burst of noise that i can only describe as a more energetic PS3 boot sound, then the Ticket please with that fucking daytona part in the middle, god then groovy grove hits and i crystalize into a gem like sculpture of myself AAAA its so fucking good
