Hello everyone! I know this has ben done a lot of times before but I like to have something more to post on.

On status.cafe I often see the statuses about music 🎶. I am interested in what you all are listening to so you can post it here 😊

Anything is welcome and if you can link to it so I can listen is very much appreciated. You can post your opinion about the song as well if you like.

So I will be the first:

Asturias – Highland

I like this band

I am great

Oh hell yeah! This track is pretty sick. :D I was into some Japanese prog rock a year ago lol. (mostly YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe.) I don't know why, but it reminds me of a slower version of this song by King Crimson which I'm kind of obsessed with.

It's been a lot of Chet Baker for me. I'm not an expert on him or anything, but I'm particularly I'm interested in his later records. I reflect on how such a tortured, callous, disturbed man could make such heavenly music. ☯ My life's been super stressful and complicated the past few months, I feel like I'm at my highest and my lowest at the same time, so Chet's music kind of fits with that mood.

I have a few links cuz at this point in my life I can never choose just one of anything LOL :P

Thanks Zeeslag for making me discover Asturias. I'm amazed to see that the band has been created roughly the same year as I was born... Love the style. Great to listen and work at the same time.

> I was into some Japanese prog rock a year ago lol. (mostly YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe.)

I didn't know about that genre! I just listened to YMO live with Kazumi Watanabe and I like the vibe a lot. Makes me want to be in a bar with friends during spring when the sun sets. Haha.

So many great songs, dii! I didn't know Chet Baker either. The sax part in "There Will Never Be Another You" is definitely incredible. I like how it seems like they are having a conversation. The lyrics are strong yet the song is easy to listen to. Almost makes me want to add a jukebox to this place. ;)

I don't listen to that much music these days. Or when I do, it's mostly the same things over and over. One that I love is the Tron Legacy OST from Daft Punk. It never fails to help me focus.

That Asturias track is awesome.

When I'm chilling I like to listen to psychedelic rock bands like Pond and King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard

When I need to focus I listen to anime soundtracks and Japanese rock bands

i listen to breakcore because big loud vibrations satisfy my chronic moonbrain.

in terms of humanly listenable music, listen to 2Mello, right now.. go. do it now.

when I'm working, almost anything instrumental or ambient, or sometimes non-english language. I find anything with english lyrics distracting

My music taste is all over the place, but currently OBSESSED with "Wealth and Hellness" by Human Zoo! It kind of reminds me of Bohemian Rhapsody from how many ups and downs the song has within three minutes, lol!

right now, i'm listening to Hitsville U.K., by the Clash. here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFGKm_bJ5Uw&ab_channel=theclashVEVO i really like this song, one of my favourite songs. not one of my favourites from the clash, but one of my favourites. my favourite songs from them are probably Complete Control, Spanish Bombs, or The Magnificent Seven.

though, lately, i've been listening to GNR's Os Homens Não Se Querem Bonitos. specifically Sonora and Made in Oporto. here are the links https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfqbY7I3sYU&ab_channel=GNR-Topic and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-rECa-z2AU&ab_channel=GNR-Topic

The Backseat Lovers are fantastic! Been listening to Growing/Dying repeatedly

I've been rediscovering Beach House for myself.

The music has this ethereal quality, a very smooth, calming sound; everything I've heard so far had been stunning, but Another Go Around is my current earworm in particular

My current obsession is an artist I stumbled across on instagram named Taylor Acorn. She has a song called Coma that gives me MAJOR Paramore, Avril Lavigne, and P!nk vibes all rolled into one. The filter on the music video looks like every rock music video from the early 2000s ever. I'm obsessed.

been listening to brodequin this week, who apparently have a new record coming out soon for the first time in twenty years. they kinda sound like a lot of deathgrind bands, but that's fine with me.

空夜coo:ya - 静焔 (dream pop/shoegaze)

the cover is what piqued my curiosity. it did not disappoint in the slightest. i rarely rate an album 5 stars immediately after listening but this one is the exception. i usually let an album sit with me for about a week or two before i bump it up to 5 stars. it irks me how obscure this record is and i wish more people knew about it.

I'm currently listening to Kraftwerk's album Computer World. I really recommend this album, it's like chiptune music almost before chiptune existed (the album is from 1981).

Computer Love is the best track in my opinion

Hold on I'm trying

Discovered Halley Labs after a Friend brought it up in a Video Player world on VRC, HalcyonDaze is good but the first half of More Adventures goes FUCKING HARD.

>> More Adventures Album

The fucking cold open sounds amazing with the fake out fade out burst of noise that i can only describe as a more energetic PS3 boot sound, then the Ticket please with that fucking daytona part in the middle, god then groovy grove hits and i crystalize into a gem like sculpture of myself AAAA its so fucking good

I have been listening to a lot of early 2000s rock and punk, right now I am listening to Cloud Nine by Evanscene well the song playing at this moment I am writing this.

My favorite song right now is Ghost of You by MCR! Their best song in my opinion

I also just discovered this band called The Pretty Reckless. The main vocal has an amazing voice! The album Light Me Up is pretty good I would recommend anyone give a listen! :D

I've been getting really into DJ sets and playlists that I've been finding on Youtube. Really love Tinzo's work, which I'll link here:

If you're not feeling it from the first minute I will be surprised! I really wish I could go to parties like this where I live, but there really isn't any.

I've also been listening to a lot of NIN lately, along with SoaD and I have to be honest, the Hazbin Hotel soundtrack lol. I watched the show for the first time a few weeks ago, and I just love "Hell is Forever" way too much lmao. Just try to chillax babe you're wasting your breath...

Nothing will of course hold a candle to my most favorite musician of all time, Doctor Steel. Unfortunately he no longer makes music under that alias, but the silver lining of this is that you can listen to almost all of his music on he portfolio website:

I recommend just starting on the first one, if you like NIN, or goth novelty projects, or simply wonder what kind of music a cartoon villain would make if he slayed, this will change your life. Love me a musician with lore.

Anyway, I've begun rambling again. Enjoy! Will be checking out a lot of stuff from here, too.
