Is this like a "solved" problem? I see a bunch of third parties offering this as a service, some paid, some with ads, some DIY guides... What are you folks using? Particularly if you're not on neocities. Like what are the good guestbooks? I wanna know lol Last edited on 2025-03-27 15:31:05 |

I'm using Atabook, which is free (and no ads I think). I've also seen people code their own guestbook pages either with Javascript (https://groundedwren.neocities.org/pages/controls/guestbookDemo) or PHP (https://kalechips.net/projects/code/guestbook).

Whoa thanks, these are great references. Already, Atabook is way way wayyy better than what I was using (smartgb). |

i did the same as you! started with smartgb and then moved to atabook. smartgb has too many random ads and things on it unless you pay for premium. which, if you want that cluttered old-web feel, smartgb is perfectly fine. but i enjoy the customization aspects of atabook

Just adding more support for Atabook. It's peak. Also check out Nekoweb, made by the same person who made Atabook !

id like to bring up a relatively new guestbook service called momiji ( https://momiji.chat/ ), it's an open source dead simple guestbook service with color customization and can work on small resolutions also comes with a demo ( https://demo.momiji.chat/ ) |
