I've noticed that a solid 99% of the statuses in the feed are all in English, but some of the statuses are in other languages like Spanish or Chinese. This makes me wonder how many people want to submit statuses but don't because they're all in English...?

So maybe, a temporary notice could be placed somewhere like above the piclog ad, linking to a Google Forms page asking people what their primary language is and what new board for a specific language they would like. Options should be for popular languages like Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and so on, with an "other" option available for people to type any language not already listed. & The language board URL would be something like es.status.cafe or status.cafe/es/ for Spanish.

Is this idea good or Crappy? Are there enough users to maintain separate language boards with similar activity to the main English one? Share...

I think the main reason why 99% of the statuses are in English is that this community, the site, and the main developer use English as their primary language on the internet. :D

Supporting different languages, the way you suggested, would make it more difficult to set up and manage. This is not a bad thing, but at the same time, that is not the idea of the project... I think.
