I recently finished the website and reuploaded the entire back log after migrating from a blogging host so I wanted to share my project somewhere.

Synopsis:

"In a Nation where "Living" is a legal and not a biological status, a sentient Doll named Bread, and all variations of the aforementioned appeals to have her name changed to something less... that. Unfortunately for her, the Court only tries Living citizens, so she embarks on a quest to fulfill the Requirements of the Living only to discover that things are far more challenging than expected, facing alien ghost universes, the impending Apocalypse and something about the radio in a World where Time and Space have been cleaved apart.

A Homestuck-flavoured fantasy with sci-fi elements. Arguably a comedy [citation needed]. BreadAVOTA is intended for adult audiences due to potentially sensitive themes."

I started the story in 2020 but only got a new website for it this month. It's both my first attempt at a long-form story and coding a website so I know the quality is amateur-ish but I'm happy with how having my own website makes the story's format closer to my ideal of having it be a hypertext. The story may not be the best narrative-wise but it's an expression and analysis of certain experiences with being schizoid/schizotypal so it feels worthwhile for me to write something that I don't see anybody else doing quite the way I like.

As the title says it's a hypertext multimedia webcomic. Although it's mostly a comic, if you explore the main body of the work by clicking on the links and occasionally looking for codes or solving basic puzzles you unlock more comics, animations, prose stories, games, etc. that explore the setting and characters more.

These types of formatting for stories meant specifically for the Internet/digital presentation fascinate me, so if anybody has a project of their own or that they know of in a similar vein (besides the obvious Homestuck) I encourage you to share as well. Thank you for your time.
